Es ist einfach ein Traum !!!! - Israel Kamakawiwo ole bringt mit seiner Stimme mein Herz zum Beben.Durch das Lied Over the Rainbow/Wonderful World, hat er Mich Es ist Unglaublich aber Wahr ,das er Trotz seines Todes, Durch das Lied Unsterblich scheint.Er hat Mir durch das Lied das Glück auf Erden Beschert die Frau meines Herzens...... Danke.... Ich bin Froh, das ich dieses Album gekauft habe. Kommplett ein Sahneteil......
ein echter Südseetraum - Wenn man Israel Kamakawiwo Oles Stimme hört, berührt sie mitten im Herzen. Unglaublich, über welche zauberhafte Stimme dieser gently Giant verfügte.Leider verstarb er 1997. Die Lieder sind melodisch, gehen ins Ohr, bleiben im Kopf. Seine Version von Over the rainbow ist etwas ganz Besonderes und macht Lust auf mehr.Wenn in Deutschland tristes Novemberwetter herrscht, steuert IZ`s Musik sicher dagegen.Jedes Lied für sich, und die gesamte CD sind absolut empfehlenswert.
Musik aus dem Paradies - Bruddah IZ war eine Legende, ist eine Legende. Im Juni werden es zehn Jahre, dass er gestorben ist. 750 Pfund soll er gewogen haben. Aber die Stimme ist so zart, wirkt so zerbrechlich. Es gibt andere Künstler aus Hawaii, die vielleicht besser Ukulele spielen, aber keine kann es mit so viel Gefühl. Das Rainbow-Lied ist auch auf der CD, und vielleicht kommt das Hören dieser Musik einem Urlaub auf Hawaii am nächsten. Auch die anderen vier Solo-Alben sind absolut hörenswert. Wer aber nur eine kaufen möchte, der sollte sich für diese entscheiden.
Eine Entdeckung - In erster Linie wegen des unglaublichen Over the Rainbow - What a wonderful world habe ich diese CD gekauft, in Kauf nehmend, dass die restlichen Songs vielleicht nur Beiwerk zu diesem außergewöhnlichen Song sind. Mitnichten. Facing Future ist ein Album der ganz besonderen Art, eine echte (Spät-)Entdeckung, das sich vom Anfang bis zum Ende mit Genuss hören lässt. Das ist Musik vom Allerfeinsten.
a cool breeze of a voice - The purity and clarity of IZ s voice soars high and aims for the heart, with a simple accompaniment in some songs of just his ukulele, and in others he is joined by bass and guitar. The only tracks with keyboard and percussion are the cover/adaptation of John Denver s Take Me Home Country Road, which is probably the weakest track on the CD, and the marvelous Maui Hawaiian Sup pa Man, with its calypso style rhythm and catchy tune.The highlights for me are the exquisite La Elima, and Kaulana Kawaihae, where the loveliness of IZ z voice singing in its highest register shine, and the sublime, delicate rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World, sung with so much sensitivity, it moves one to the core.IZ had a voice like a cool breeze on a warm day, and it continues to delight and inspire through his many CDs, and his music will touch people who are not familiar, or do not particularly care for Hawaiian music, it is universal in its beauty and magic.The foldout insert has no lyrics (which is a pity) or recording info. The sound is excellent and total time 56 43.God bless IZ and may he be rejoicing in an island paradise !
